Job Description

As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst in Information Research (IR), a group within AbbVie’s Business technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading the Jr. BSA student cohort and their associated projects

  • Coaching teams of IRAP students to deliver results on assigned projects for internal AbbVie clients

  • Assisting in sourcing projects from internal clients throughout AbbVie, especially BTS

  • Ensuring overall development needs of students are met, including career development activities and engaging in regular performance dialogues

  • Co-leading recruiting efforts at target schools and supervising all student hiring and onboarding operations for IRAP

  • Helping identify options for engagement with IRAP’s target schools that support BTS’s mission

  • Helping organize and lead activities for students and other special event

Qualifications

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

  • Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Meeting facilitation skills

  • Project management frameworks

  • Consulting and business systems analysis skills

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

  • Bachelors degree plus 5 years technical experience, or Masters degree plus 4 years experience. Will consider 9 years work experience in related technical roles.

  • Experience leading or coaching college students

  • Strong organizational and project management experience

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple teams and collaborators

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of academic and student services programs within higher education

  • Passion for working with young adults and guiding them towards success in the professional workplace

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity yet able to give good attention to detail

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Demonstrated learning agility

Beneficial:

  • Master’s degree preferred but NOT required

  • Experience as a business systems analyst or consultant
