[JOB DESCRIPTION: [The purpose of this position is to support emergency communications for the public safety/first responder users of St. Charles County. Provides 1st thru 2nd tier technical support, provisioning and operation of the county-wide P25 radio system, microwave radio system, LAN/WAN networks and mobile-data system. Cross trains in functional areas to prepare for assisting with more complex technical and engineering tasks. Under general supervision, performs routine operational tasks; such as install, configure, provision, test maintain and repair equipment within the radio network and site facilities systems. - Monitor the performance of the Emergency Communications System (radio, microwave, network, facility and SCADA).

``` - Conduct incident management such as responding, identifying, dispatching, coordinating, analyzing and correcting service calls for incident/problem resolution and try to prevent future re-occurrence.

``` - Install, configure, provision, commission, test, maintain and repair communication equipment such as radio, subscriber and network systems and site facilities systems and services such as networking, electrical, HVAC, grounding, UPS, SCADA, civil and fuel.

``` - Conduct trouble analysis (i.e. testing, fault isolation and repair functions, logs, alarms, operational measurements).

``` - Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective action on all county and/or customer owned equipment in accordance with established schedules, standards, contracts, policies, procedures, directives, and guidelines.

``` - Interpret schematics, diagrams, flowcharts, and documentation to ensure system(s) performance including identification, isolation, and documentation of RF interference.

``` - Maintain physical, virtual systems security and video surveillance systems (i.e. facilities security, firewalls, implementation of security protocols, standards and practices).

``` - Utilize a variety of digital/analog radio communications and network test equipment.

``` - Perform audits and maintain central and remote radio site facilities (e.g. electrical, grounding, HVAC, UPS, and battery subsystems).

``` - Conduct all work in a safe manner and ensure all work areas meet applicable standards.

``` - Occasionally direct and coordinate vendors and contractors in support of maintenance and service.
