NOGGN LLC Lead Software Developer in PAYSON, Utah

This position comes with the upsides of a well-established company AND the benefits of getting in on a startup. We are a startup SaaS company that is founded by a leadership team with multiple successful SaaS applications under their belt. The formula that the founding team is using is the same as they've used before: use cloud-based software to solve a REAL problem in a business that one or more of the founders owns and operates... refine and perfect the solution IN the directly-owned business (our "lab")... package the solution and sell it out to other, similar businesses.

This is a SaaS application that is designed initially for restaurants (two of the founders own a very profitable, multi-million dollar restaurant in Florida). The solution makes it as easy for a restaurant to create processes as it is to upload to Instagram. The proprietary "secret sauce" is in how we deploy video instructions to create operations manuals and sprinkle in elements of social media for effective feedback and accountability.

The LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER will be responsible for taking the Figma prototype designs (completed and field tested) and creating the application.

You should be very comfortable:

  • Starting the code from scratch. You will have fully functional Figma prototypes to work from, but you will be the "One Who Rules All" when it comes to the code.
  • Writing clean code with excellent notation. Our CTO has enough of a coding background to check to make sure that we aren't getting spaghetti code, but you will be trusted as the primary authority when it comes to writing good code.
  • Setting up and tying the application to a database.
  • Setting up and building the application onto AWS, Google Hosting, Azure, or similar.
  • Publishing to the Apple and Android app stores.
  • Web development with best practices (ex: fully-responsive design, intelligent server vs. local load-balancing, optimization, appropriate cache usage, etc.)
  • Providing direct and candid feedback and suggestions on the product and directions of the company as a whole.

It is a bonus (but not a requirement) if you are also familiar with usability concepts and/or have some skill in graphics creation, management, and design.
