Project Manager
Large mechanical contractor, Bel-Aire Mechanical, LLC located in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced
Project Manager. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the entire project, represents the company on the project, provides overall management direction for a project(s), may also develop new business opportunities, performs to profit/expense objectives, meets strict construction deadlines, meets needs of external/ internal customers to achieve total customer satisfaction and ensures that safety and quality are not compromised.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring the safety, quality and all other aspects involved with the construction of the project are met
Promoting customer satisfaction
Obtaining all financial and schedule goals of the project
Communicating information internally to the field and site employees and externally to the vendors and subcontractors
Develops and Maintains relationships with clients, assures client satisfaction
Prepare budget projections and control costs.
Provide communications including memos, change orders, strategies and the like to ensure best practices and legal protection
Meet established revenue and profit goals, maintain control and accurate projections of project costs
Attend client project meetings
Will be required to be on job sites during construction activities and during critical project times
Facilitate and troubleshoot problems associated with project including technical issues and cost and schedule impacts
Requirements:
The preferred candidate should have a diverse knowledge of the mechanical contracting business, with an emphasis on the commercial HVAC industry to include healthcare, data centers and manufacturing. They should have advanced knowledge of estimating, scheduling and cost control, general knowledge of AZ code requirements, reading all aspects of blueprints, appropriate legal documents (contracts, liens etc), budget preparation, risk analysis, team building, negotiation skills, time management and the ability to interface with many different types of people on and off the jobsite.
Specific Requirements:
Construction Management degree and/or
10 years of construction experience with minimum of 5 years of project management experience
Ability to operate independently and autonomously, and yet possess the discretionary judgement to know when it is appropriate to consult with others in the organization
