Title and Summary

Manager, Products & Solutions (Transfer Solutions)

Mastercard aims to strengthen its leadership position as a truly multi-rail payments technology company globally and in Europe. In recent years, new payment flows, such as Remittances and Disbursements underwent nothing short of a burst of innovation, driven both by incumbent payment networks like Mastercard as well as fintechs. As part of the local product team, this role is pivotal to advancing Mastercard’s position in a rapidly changing world of new payment technology.

Therefore, the local Product team is looking for a Product and Business Development Manager to drive Mastercard’s local go-to-market strategy in Czechia and Slovakia and manage short- and long-term commercialization initiatives.

The Czech/Slovak Product Team sits at the heart of the Customer Solution Center (CSC) in the Central European Division. The CSC combines the expertise of segment-specific solution architects, market experts and central product strategy teams.

In the role of Transfer Solution Product and Business Development Manager, you will report to the Head of Product for Czechia and Slovakia and work side-by-side with our colleagues, clients, and divisional teams, to develop and deliver key commercialization initiatives in our markets. You will be working closely with the regional team to align product initiatives with the overall regional strategy. Together with the country team, you will be implementing market-specific strategies as well as planning, coordinating and managing a diverse range of business development activities. You will also be a local expert on dedicated product portfolio (Mastercard Send, Mastercard Cross-Border Services, Open banking). These will involve a unique combination of strategy, business development, sales and product management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Product, Channel and Go-to-market strategy for CZ/SK markets that drive scale and manage risk.

• Be entrepreneurial and open minded when exploring new opportunities in the market by finding new partners or offering new service.

• Develop target segment / vertical specific value propositions.

• Be the first point-of contact for colleagues and clients for transfer solutions within your markets and closely collaborate with clients during onboarding / implementation projects.

• Work with the account teams to build exciting customer pitches including defining the value proposition, business case and overall storyline.

• Be part of the team and serve our customers by keeping strong relationships and a good cooperation with internal stakeholders and customers alike to deliver on our business targets.

Skills:

• Interest and passion for payments, banking, financial services, e-commerce, and all things digital. Ideally picked up in previous relevant jobs or in a consulting environment with at least 5 years working experience.

• Solid knowledge of the cross-border payments and/or transaction/correspondent banking business, including cash and liquidity management and FX

• Ability to translate customers’ needs into revenue generating product designs is a plus.

• Strong network within the financial and corporate sectors in Czechia and Slovakia to expedite partnership discussion.

• Strong Business acumen understands the complex relationships in payment sectors.

• Partnership approach – open to developing new partnerships both internally and externally to drive the company’s growth.
