Summary

We are recruiting for an experienced Compensation Manager to join our dynamic HR Team. This role is responsible for competitive and equitable broad-based compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing, diverse workforce to execute our business strategy and enhance Perdue's profitability, brand, and value. Manages internal programs by directing annual compensation processes (merit, incentive, and general labor increases). Researches market trends to evaluate pay competitiveness. Recommends, plans, and implements structural adjustments; manages salary survey administration and integration into software application. Ensures compliance with DOL, IRS, and all other applicable regulatory guidelines and entities.

This role is an onsite position at our Corporate Offices in Salisbury, MD. Relocation to qualified candidates is available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the administration of the Company’s Base Pay Structures: (e.g. pay ranges, merit increase budget and process, market adjustments, general increase process, etc.). Maintains the Company’s Base Pay System, proposing salary ranges updates as appropriate based on external market data and financial analysis.

  • Assesses competitive labor market trends. Strategically aligns compensation with leadership, delivering insights into current pay practices versus external market movement. Provides quarterly updates, recommendations, and cost analysis on General Labor movement coordinating with plants to validate local wages.

  • Ensures compliance with DOL, IRS, and all other applicable regulatory guidelines and entities. Remains aware of internal company environment, competitive and legislative environment and market trends and developments within all employee compensation areas.

  • Oversees the participation and integration of all Salary Surveys ensuring that market data is current and competitive. Utilizes all software solutions available to maximize reporting capability (currently Market Pay)

  • Develops Manager, HR, and Associate training for compensation programs. Partners with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to continuously improve processes.

  • Develops and implements new ideas / concepts to move HR and the business forward.

  • Review and monitor employee pay and recommend reviews if necessary.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplined.

  • 5 - 7 years Compensation related experience with Bachelor's Degree

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills (High proficiency)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (High proficiency)

  • Knowledge of HR employment laws and regulations

  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (High proficiency)

  • Knowledge of compensation principles and procedures. (High proficiency)

  • Knowledge and understanding of HCM systems, particularly SAP SuccessFactors

Experience Preferred

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
