Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers and payroll processing? Robert Half is currently seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our clients. Join us and contribute your skills to support the financial well-being of businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with processing payroll for employees accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Verify and enter payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments, into payroll software.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax withholding reports, and other related documents.

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide assistance as needed.

• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.

• Assist with payroll tax calculations and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Support month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliation of payroll accounts.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role preferred.

• Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and internal stakeholders.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with discretion.

Duration and Compensation:

This is a contract position through Robert Half with an expected duration of 3-6 months. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
