Robert Half Project Assistant in Savannah, Georgia

Description We are seeking a Project Assistant for our non-profit organization in Savannah, Georgia, United States. The primary function of this role is to support our team by actively recruiting donors for blood drives, setting up necessary event materials, and providing high-quality customer service. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires skills in Community Events, Coordinating Events, and Administrative management.

Responsibilities:

• Actively recruit donors at assigned blood drives, explaining the need for blood donations and encouraging them to participate.

• Set up necessary signage, tables, tents, and other materials to properly advertise the blood drive.

• Communicate results and pertinent information throughout the duration of each blood drive to the Donor Resources Manager.

• Display exceptional customer service skills when interacting with sponsors, patrons, donors, and co-workers.

• Provide information and logistical support to donor group contacts.

• Address and refer any donor or sponsor complaints to the Donor Resources Team.

• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• Onboard and train new team members as needed.

• Schedule and manage blood drives, primarily on weekends.

• Maintain a professional appearance, wearing provided staff shirt, jeans without holes, and comfortable sneakers. Prepare to dress appropriately for various weather conditions. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in community events organization

• Proven track record in coordinating events

• Strong administrative management skills

• Familiarity with the non-profit sector

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proficiency in using office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new environments and challenges

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards

• Commitment to the mission and values of the organization

• Understanding of project management principles and practices

• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
