Stanley is looking for an experienced Sr Director of Transportation to lead our global transportation operations in North America, EMEA (Europe Middle East Asia) and APAC (Asia Pacific) regions, encompassing overseas freight shipping, direct-to-consumer/ecommerce last mile as well as B2B/DC transportation. Optimizing the End-To-End Transportation capabilities is a key enabler to deliver on our promise to customers and consumers. If you have experience solving complex transportation needs through strategic insight, strong leadership presence and a proven ability to leverage data and processes to execute successfully, this would be a great fit for you. As the leader of our global transportation team, you will be responsible to set up the overall transportation strategy for ocean, surface and air transportation for Stanley, define the standard processes, and drive technology roadmap You should have proven abilities to deliver the long-term planning vision and set priorities to further develop advanced optimization and forecasting that solve business problems in the transportation domain. This role will be a core member within the Supply Chain Operations leadership team and will engage cross functionally with Finance, Accounting, Merchandising, Planning, IT, Fulfillment Operations, and Inventory Management to ensure on-time delivery capabilities. This is a highly visible role, as you will be in constant communications with senior leaders in the company and with external partner leaders. What You Will Do Develop and execute the overall Global Transportation strategy for Stanley, redefine the transportation mission & vision, set objectives, analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics Develop framework for continuous optimization of the Stanley transportation network that reduces transit times and costs, by identifying and implementing best practices, and by minimizing process variance through standardization and automation. Identify, engage and negotiate with national and international carriers proactively to create capacity and meet optimized speed and cost goals Provide key inputs into network topology to partner organizations as we grow and scale our delivery promise to customers Pioneer and promote the use of leading-edge technology to improve real time tracking and visibility for customer shipments Lead annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting for transportation-related supply chain general and administrative expenses. Model financial acumen and discipline. Who You Are You are passionate about providing our customers with a stellar order experience You're curious about answering the WHY through the analysis of order data You're self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently - Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, and developing scalable solutions You have strong business acumen, and excellent written and verbal communication skills You have the experience in analyzing transportation metrics and data-driven decision-making You have a high degree of executive presence and communication skills. You can mentor team to set up and manage to daily, weekly and monthly dashboards, reports and Root Cause Analysis You can roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to achieve goals: Show owner/ General Manager mentality Education and Experience BS/BA in Business, Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field MBA preferred 15 +
