We are looking for an accomplished senior manager to lead a team of partners with expertise across real estate, workplace design, construction project management, operations, and workplace moves as we continue this journey. To be successful in this highly cross functional organization, you’ll bring a strong relationship building ability, a passion for partner development, focus on evolving and improving processes, and subject matter expertise in the construction field.

As a manager sr, project management within Workspace Solutions, you will…

  • Oversee a large project portfolio consisting of design and construction projects ranging from large office renovations and buildouts to small and medium sized capital improvements.

  • Lead the real estate strategy for our corporate offices including the Seattle Support Center (Headquarters building) and our regional offices across North America.

  • Oversee ongoing space strategy and moves within our offices as well as operations support for regional offices in North America.

  • Manage key strategic vendor relationships inclusive of ongoing performance management as well as partner with Sourcing to conduct and negotiate contract renewals and searches for new vendors.

  • Ensure that projects and teams deliver quality, integrity, reliability and efficiency, and drive innovation in the support space; supporting teams to meet the portfolio goals.

  • Apply and share subject matter expertise related to the business unit, construction industry, trade groups, current events, and economic climate to ensure fiscally responsible decision-making and maintaining our brand standards.

  • Create strong partnerships with cross functional partners across Partner Relations Organization, Starbucks Technology, Sourcing, Finance, and others, to accomplish team and department goals.

  • Role model and promote a growth mindset and create a positive and productive work environment while adjusting to individual partner dynamics, and coach others to do the same, building and maintaining an inclusive team environment.

  • Develop talent for the organization and be an advocate for all partners seeking growth opportunities, regardless of location or function.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 5+ years managing and developing teams, 3 within construction

  • 5+ years managing construction permits and approvals for the development process

  • 8+ years planning and budgeting

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management job functions for construction projects including: vendor management, bidding, negotiations and budgeting
