Amazon Senior Product Manager - Tech, People eXperience and Technology (Level 6) in Seattle, Washington

As part of People eXperience and Technology, the Manager Development team's mission is to make it easier for Amazonians to build rewarding careers in Amazon’s peculiar culture. To deliver on this mission, the Manager Development team is building a talent development ecosystem (TDE) which empowers human judgement, action, and interaction to make it easier to learn and grow in Amazon’s peculiar culture.

As Sr. Product Manager - Tech for Manager Development, you’ll empower managers to learn the best practices of the most effective managers at scale. You'll scale learning content creation using new machine learning (ML)/ Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions. You'll experiment to uncover which learning interventions are most effective at driving manager effectiveness, measuring the user experience and gathering insights from our UX team, science team, and talent management partners. You’ll define the vision to teach Amazon’s peculiar culture at scale, and translate that vision into a multi-year roadmap with detailed product and UI requirements. You’ll make roadmap tradeoffs, managing ambiguity and influencing multiple stakeholders, and problem solving to deliver new features with the tech team.

Key job responsibilities

• Diving deep to understand how to better support managers learn the best practices of the most effective managers

• Driving innovative solutions that enables us to teach, reinforce and measure skill development

• Decomposing complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions

• Setting the vision and developing/owning a multi-year roadmap to teach Amazon’s peculiar culture at scale

• Create and deliver detailed product and UI requirements

• Manage complexity and resources by systematically prioritizing multiple streams of work

• Continuously test and learn, leveraging data to drive decision-making

About the team

The Manager Development team is comprised of Product, Program, Engineering, Learning Science, and Analytics function. We partner with Research Science, UX Design, and additional talent management teams to innovate for Amazonians.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
