Role description

The opportunity

As an HR People Partner at Unity, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Centers of Excellence (COEs) and ensuring the effectiveness of our HR programs. Reporting to the Director of HR for the Chief Revenue Officer, Create Business unit, you will collaborate with colleagues across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions to drive employee engagement and compliance with local employment laws. Due to our team's virtual setup, you'll have the autonomy to drive your tasks while also being an integral part of our collaborative efforts. Building and nurturing positive relationships with colleagues across various locations and time zones will be essential. Flexibility is crucial, as occasional meetings in different time zones will be necessary for effective collaboration.

What you'll be doing

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, guiding people management practices, legal compliance, and employee engagement

  • Maintain expertise in Korea’s employment law and ensure local and regional compliance across supported locations

  • Support the development and implementation of HR processes, policies, and initiatives to enhance the employee experience

  • Collaborate with regional compliance leaders to address sensitive and confidential issues and drive compliance efforts

  • Participate in global HR initiatives and projects, offering insights and thought leadership to guide decision-making

What we're looking for

  • High proficiency in both Korean and English

  • Proficiency in Korea’s employment law, with the ability to make informed decisions on procedural matters and handle sensitive/confidential issues

  • Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory role, working closely with managers, senior managers, and directors on legal compliance, employee engagement, and critical initiatives

  • Strong mentorship, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence others effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to drive initiatives autonomously in a fast-paced environment

You might also have

  • Experience working in a APAC regional role

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment

  • Familiarity with Japanese employment law
