Parametrix PowerBI and Data Solutions Architect in South Hill, Washington

Parametrix, a 100% employee-owned AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting) company, is committed to outstanding project work for our Community Building, Environmental, Transportation and Water clients in our local communities. Our growing Informational Technology team is looking for a skilled and innovative PowerBI and Data Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating comprehensive PowerBI dashboards and other solutions from large and diverse datasets and applying Microsoft Fabric and AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to deliver insightful data analysis products. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, creativity, innovation, and a keen eye for detail. Our preference is for this position to be based out of western Washington. However, we are open to considering exceptional candidates outside of Washington who are committed to travel for team integration and key initiatives. Position Focus: Data Visualization and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards. Ensure they are user-friendly, accurate, and effectively visualize complex data sets. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Develop and present regular reports based on these analyses. Microsoft Fabric and AI Integration: Use Microsoft Fabric and AI tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities. Stay updated with the latest advancements in these technologies. Has demonstrated expertise in data integration technologies such as ETL, API and data warehousing. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with various groups to understand their data analysis needs and tailor solutions accordingly. Communicate complex data in a concise and understandable manner to non-technical collaborators. Ability to work closely in a team environment and with internal and external clients. Product Design: Effectively clarify and translate business requirements into system design specifications. Analyze client requirements to identify trends, problems, and opportunities for improving processes. Architect and implement solutions that promote integration, efficiency and align internal systems with business needs/goals. Perform cost analysis, estimating, and risk analysis for planning and design. Project Management: Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and consistency with quality standards. Qualifications: Education: bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Demonstratable experience in data analysis and visualization, specifically with PowerBI. Experience with Microsoft Fabric and AI tools is highly desirable. Experience with data governance and access controls are a plus. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and experience with data warehousing and experience with managing large data sets. Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
