NJM Insurance Business Technical Analyst, Senior in Trenton, New Jersey

This highly motivated and driven individual will be able to exercise their creativity and decision-making skills by serving as a liaison within the organization; conduct analysis, driving requirements elicitation and testing to assist in meeting the goals and objectives of the Commercial Lines Department.

This position is based full-time at our headquarters in West Trenton, NJ with an option to work 2 days per week remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assessing business problems, consulting industry best practices, and offering creative solutions.

  • Act as a business technical liaison for the department.

  • Apply advanced skills in area of expertise to solve a wide range of difficult problems and identify project and/or process efficiencies.

  • Conduct training sessions/demos to business stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and business process improvement methodologies.

  • Facilitate requirement elicitation, analysis, and test execution activities in support of technology projects.

  • Define and capture complex requirements.

  • Define clear success criteria.

  • Able to work under time constraints and provide informative updates to department leadership.

  • Lead cross functional business teams and facilitate meetings to achieve goals.

  • Leverage strong negotiation and presentation skills to propose solutions.

    Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience with process re-engineering initiatives or process improvement, project management principles, business analysis and analytical techniques and practices.

  • 3-5 years business experience in the Commercial Lines P&C Insurance Industry preferred.

  • Proficient understanding of NJM's Project Management Lifecycle phases and activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequent and unexpected changes.

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel (including some knowledge of pivot tables, formulas, macros) and Visio required.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to identify and recommend process improvements and solutions.

  • Strong functional knowledge of core business systems (PolicyCenter, Duck Creek Distribution Management System, CSS/Workspace).
