Why this job matters:

As a Community Professional you will Lead activity to create an inclusive community with our customers, colleagues, and partners. Lifting our stores beyond the four walls reaching out into our communities and uniting all parties behind a shared purpose. You will create opportunities to engage face to face, by telephone, and online, you will be the voice of the store from a public relations perspective. As a Community Professional you will work closely with external partners within your community. You will showcase how the technology EE has to offer can enhance and support your community, reaching out to EE customers and non-customers alike. Bringing to life our calendar of events and creating local plans to pioneer a of practice of community for our stores.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create ongoing relationships and valuable networks between us and our customers – These interactions within your community will allow you to form some fundamental relationships to support you with your shared purpose.

  • Be a network master, you will have numerous stakeholders, you will need to make new contacts, build fast relationships, and can work in collaboration

  • Work alongside our social media teams to showcase your store – managing your stores social presence through Google reviews and other social platforms. .

  • Boost customer satisfaction, lifetime value, and referrals – Customers are at the heart of everything we do and

  • Collaborating with other teams - You will work in collaboration with your team in store supporting your Store Leader and other departments across our support teams.

  • Increase brand awareness –You will be a brand ally; your responsibility will be to bring to life the connect for good plan within your store & your community.

  • showcase how the tech at EE can enhance and benefit the wider community.

  • Bringing to life our calendar of events, including but not exclusive to Hope United, Skills for Tomorrow

  • Create local plans for your store – Listen to what your community is saying and provide solutions to support them using the tools at your disposal

  • You will need to work with your Store Leader to ensure support, content, space, and colleagues are available for events.

  • Gaining customer insight – using the relationships that you have built to gather insights for your community and local plans to best support your store and your community.

  • To track and monitor progress including any return on investment (not just financial) – you will need to track and report your progress on all your projects. You will create reporting that will enable you to showcase and evidence this.

  • Utilising our new store format – as a Community Professional you will be based within one of our new studio format stores. These studios have been created to enhance the customer experience.

  • Adhering to Compliance – You will need to ensure all stores and organisation policies and processes are adhered to acting with integrity at every level. You will role model the perfect example to both your own internal and external customers and partners.

Skills and experience you'll have under your belt:

Must have:

  • Have an understanding of the wider retail, marketing, sponsorship, and communications is beneficial, along with commercial awareness.

  • Experience in marketing and social media

  • Retail experience

  • You will need to be aware of current retail trends, upcoming changes, and to understand the objectives of all stakeholders, seeking out this knowledge to create opportunities.

  • Presentation skills – you will be responsible to of delivery of content to people 1-2-1 or groups either in store or in your community.

  • Technological Knowledge – you will need a good knowledge of the products and services we provide to enable you to showcase and enhance usage for customers and the community.

  • Excellent stakeholder management

Nice to have:

  • Qualifications in Marketing or PR

  • Business management experience
