JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (https://studentaffairs.psu.edu/greeks) is seeking a dynamic, student-centered professional for the position of Senior Assistant Director.

Reporting to the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, this position is responsible for the co-curricular development and assessment of a fraternity and sorority community comprised of four governing councils, over 70 recognized fraternities and sororities, and over 6,000 affiliated students. The Senior Assistant Director will lead, develop, review, and deliver educational content for fraternity and sorority members in addition to regularly assessing program efficacy and tracking chapter progress in meeting engagement expectations. This position will work closely with campus and community partners for staff training and educational content development.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in higher education or student development and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.

  • Candidates must have strong knowledge of educational program development and facilitation, leadership development, health and safety, and conflict resolution, as well as familiarity with current trends and needs of NALFO, NAPA, NMGC, NPHC, NIC, NPC, and PFA affiliate organizations.

  • The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing them to present to and work collaboratively with internal and external constituents from a broad range of programs and disciplines.

  • The Senior Assistant Director must also have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and be willing to work frequent nights and weekends as required.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
