Join Serco’s Learning and Performance Services team as an Instructional Designer! This is a 100% remote opportunity with the potential for international travel.

Serco is supporting the construction and launch of a new Antarctic research ship. In conjunction with our international partners, we are supporting the build of this exciting new ship that is planned to launch in late 2025. You will be part of a small team of instructional designers that work closely together and with our international partners to help develop and prepare training for the crew and maintainers of this new research ship.

In this role you will:

• Work with a design team to perform analysis, design, and development for instructional and/or performance support solutions

• Contribute to the course development and course delivery phases of the project

• Write clear, concise instructional content

• Work with Subject Matter Experts to review and edit course development materials

• Develop simple graphics and tables and other supporting materials

• Conduct system analysis and review of Vendor Furnished Information (VFI) to determine course objectives and content development

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related learning field

• 4 years of professional experience developing courseware for classroom/instructional delivery to adults

• Ability to write clear, concise instructional content

• Knowledge of Naval/Maritime systems and roles

• Valid passport or ability to apply for an receive a passport

• Ability to travel internationally up to 15-20% (not required before mid to late 2025)

Even better with:

• Ability to speak and read Portuguese language

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $66,558 to $111,000; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. Target salary for this position is $75,000-$80,000.
