The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone who has experience working in a fast-paced client office environment with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work as part of a team as well as having the initiative to work under limited supervision. You’re proactive, self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with colleagues on all levels.
The Environmental Design Manager will be responsible for leading and supporting the client approved environmental compliance with the Licensing & Permitting team delivering environmental and sustainability advice on projects for both internal and external stakeholders.
Providing robust advice on environmental design, sustainability benchmarking/implementation, building energy optimization, daylight & shading design, sustainable systems, materials and waste.
Projects will range from reviewing detailed design of specific buildings across all sectors and scales, in addition to advising on the AlUla Masterplan strategy and implementation. Using industry benchmarks and internal standards, you will ensure not only the timely delivery of accurate information but also provide a point of contact between the client architectural/engineering team, applicants, and stakeholders.
Working environment will be both the client site and CBRE offices based in AlUla on a 2-week rotation schedule.
Demonstrating proven knowledge of environmental design, sustainability benchmarking/implementation, building energy optimization, daylight & shading design, sustainable systems, materials, waste and building physics
Actively committing to developing specialist skills in one or more disciplines
Showing a willingness to develop an awareness and understanding of other disciplines
Liaising with the client, applicants, architect, other members of the internal or external Licensing & Permitting team
Maintaining an overview of workload and provide updates as and when required to the client
Reporting any feedback or issues concerning the role to the relevant client team member
Our ideal person is someone who:
Relevant sector qualification (ideally degree level with ongoing professional development undertaken).
A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in this field is mandatory.
Fluency in English, verbal and written. Arabic would be highly advantageous.
